This algorithm breaks down your pixels from
the input into two groups, pixels that
represent a person and pixels that represent
the background. Algorithms often need to
remove some information to focus on whats
important, to separate the signal from the
noise. This is filtering.
A lot of our search engines will have been
filtered specifically for us. They calculate
what sort of answers we are looking for.
Process’ like this can be very damaging, if
we are only shown what our data thinks
we should be shown, so that we are more
likely interact with it longer creating profit
for the supplier, we end up in a “filter
bubble”. Only being shown one filtered
point of view.
